Course Preview: The Final Miles

At mile 22, marathon runners will rejoin the half marathon runners as they make their through one of Milwaukee’s oldest neighborhoods, Walker’s Point. A mixed residential and industrial neighborhood, Walker’s Point has seen a lot off recent developments and is now home to many popular bars and restaurants. Also in Walker’s Point is Reed Street Yards, a global water technology park focusing on water research and manufacturing that our runners will pass through at mile 23. You’ll find Performance Running Outfitters hosting a Packers-themed aid station in Walker’s Point as well!

Spectators: Great Lakes Distillery will be the site of one of our Spectator Parties. Creative artisan distillery drinks and jammin’ beats from DJ Shawna and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee‘s Marcus Doucette will liven up this prime corner location.

Runners will wind their way through the 22-acre park behind Summerfest Grounds before passing Discovery World and the Milwaukee Art Museum on their way to the finish line at Veterans Park.

Runners: The Milwaukee Running Group- OMG will be hosting the aid station at mile 24.5 to help give you that final push to the finish!
