Course Description

The Half Marathon course is a beautiful combination of city streets and parkways, and includes several of Milwaukee’s known landmarks as well as a diverse mix of neighborhoods. The entire 13.1-mile course stays in the City of Milwaukee. See maps below for details.

Participant Amenities

Every registered Half Marathon participant will receive:

  • Pre-Party & Fitness Expo Access
  • Participant T-Shirt (technical shirt)
  • Goodie Bag
  • Finisher Medal
  • Free Race Day Photos
  • Post-Race Festival Access
  • A Free Beer (for runners 21+)


Race packets can be picked up in person at the Health & Fitness Expo. All runners must show a photo ID to receive their packet. You may have a friend or family member pick up your packet for you. They will need a copy of your photo ID.

If you are unable to pick up your packet at the expo, will call packet pick up is available for $25 and can be added on during the registration process. If you have any questions, please send an email to info@milwaukeerunningfestival.com.

Aid Stations

Locations will be announced soon.


Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women, determined by gun time. The awards will be given out at the Finish Line Festival.

Age Group Awards

Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women:

17 and Under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+.

Age group award times will be determined by chip time.

Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. You must pick up your award at the results tent after the event. No awards will be mailed out.

Pace Groups

1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:15, 2:20, 2:30

Participants can sign up for a pace group at the Health & Fitness Expo.

Start Corrals

There will be no assigned corrals at the event. However, we do want to ensure a positive race experience and provide all participants the same opportunity for a smooth and safe start with sufficient room to run along the course. Please note the pace per mile signs along the race start area and line up near the posted pace sign that corresponds closest to your estimated pace per mile.
